JOHN LEWIS CHRISTMAS ADVERT BRAINSTORM
"How about Jolly Jaws? A lovable man eating shark who just can't help eating people?"
"Or Ditsy Dracula? The cute servant of darkness with a taste for blood?"
"Hmm let's just go with the dragon who loves arson." #ExciteableEdgar

Brave brands make jokes on social media; the bravest brands aim those jokes directly at other brands.
When Innocent saw an opportunity to make a joke about John Lewis’s much maligned 2019 Christmas advert, they took it.
Not content with a wry one-liner or pun, they opted to stretch the form and cram a mini comedy sketch complete with a title and dialogue and everything into the 280 character limit. The end result is another golden nugget of comedy goodness. It also allowed them to boost their brand awareness by posting about a trending hashtag.
Bonus points are awarded for use of the word ‘arson’, which is inexplicably one of the most darkly funny words in the English language. Maybe because it sounds like ‘arse’?
