How we use Jokes That Sell to build your...

Profit-First Growth Engine

(The boring strategic groundwork that makes sure all the funny stuff we layer on top actually drives profitability and growth…)

Phase 1

Laying The Groundwork

We Complete Your Market and Messaging Audit and Funnel Economics Roadmap.

Identifying opportunities, and making sure we're confident we can move the needle, long before you spend a single dollar on Ads.

Market and Messaging Audit

Entertainment Value is the force amplifier that turns good marketing into great marketing - but it's a layer that sits on top of Marketing Fundamentals and the Psychology of Persuasion.

We start by taking a deep-dive into your audience, and the exact words they use when they talk about the problem you solve: what they want, what they already believe, and what they'd need to believe before they'd buy.

Then we comb through everything you're currently putting in front of them, line by line, hunting for gaps between what you're saying and what they need to hear.

Every gap isn't a problem. It's an opportunity we get to exploit later.

Launch Economics Roadmap

Then we do the same deep-dive on your numbers: what a customer is actually worth to you, what you can afford to pay for one, and how much of each order survives as profit.

We map your funnel's economics end to end, hunting for the elements that are missing or underpowered. The order bump that isn't there. The upsell priced like a free bonus. The follow-up emails that never get sent. Every one of them is an opportunity to raise what a customer is worth, and what a customer is worth decides how hard we can push on ads.

Once again, this isn't "the answer". It's the maths done properly, a break-even target in writing, and a shortlist of the levers most likely to get you there - all before you've spent a dollar on ads.

Phase 2

Working Towards Break-Even Customer Acquisition

Creative Strategy, Ads Management, and Conversion Rate (And Revenue) Optimisation

From the moment we launch your first Ad, our number one goal is to get your campaigns to break-even or better on Day Zero (with additional recurring revenue or back-end sales as your main profit driver). We've got three main levers to help us meet this first goal:

Better Ads

You came to us for High-Converting Comedy Ads, and they're the main event. Around them we build Benefits-Led Creatives and Direct-Offer Creatives: different ways of reaching the same audience, so there's a perfect ad for every kind of buyer.

And when comedy leads? We've seen CTRs 2x to 4x higher, CPMs as much as 50% lower, and Conversion Rates (and upsell take-rates) as much as double... compared to "traditional" (boring) ads.*

On-Page Optimisation

Heatmaps and session recordings show us how real visitors actually use your pages: where they slow down, where they hesitate, where they give up and bail. Every drop-off is a question the page failed to answer.

And here's the mindset that makes this lever work: your visitors already want to buy. They clicked. They're on the page. So most of this job is subtraction: make more of whatever's driving action, and remove whatever's quietly unselling (the confusing section, the unproven claim, the button that asks before the page has earned it).

Get twice as many people to the cart, then get twice as many of them to buy, and that's four sales for the money that used to buy one.

The Offer Stack

Sometimes the biggest win isn't in the ads or on the page: it's in what you sell next, what you charge for it, and the order you offer it in. This is where the Funnel Economics shortlist gets cashed in.

We reprice the upsell that's been reading like a free bonus. We replace the offer that's underperformed for months (rarely a copy problem, usually just the wrong offer). And our favourite: we pre-sell. One idea seeded on the sales page can lift the take-rate of an upsell without changing a word of the upsell page itself, because the decision was made before they arrived.

Every dollar this adds to average order value raises what you can afford to pay for a customer, which is what lets us press harder on the ads.

Phase 3

The Push For Real Profit

A full-service growth machine that pays for itself.

Getting to break-even or better on Day Zero means the Ads are paying for themselves (and any additional revenue outside of the front-end sale is pure profit). We continue to iterate using our three levers, in order to scale further, and drive margins higher.

At this point, we might recommend adding additional deliverables into the mix (Video Production, Email Marketing, Organic Social) - always paid for out of existing profit, and only ever when we can confidently project a positive return on the additional investment.
