“Adam is a top-class producer and creative. I’ve worked with him more times than I can remember, and it’s always a pleasure. White Label Comedy is fantastic at generating unique, clever and most importantly – funny – content that is filling a real gap in the market.”

Why Comedy?

Comedy gets your audience talking

So many brands forget the social in social media. Comedy doesn’t just entertain and engage – when done right, it drives conversation too.

Inside every joke is a “hidden truth”. If the joke you’ve crafted is a good fit for the audience you’re trying to reach, then not only will they laugh — they’ll respond, because the truth you’ve shone a light on is one that matters dearly to them.

Comedy sells without selling

People don’t want to buy from faceless brands waving coupons, vouchers and deals. They want to buy from brands with personality. Brands they feel an affinity to. A connection with.

Comedy content that’s tailored to your audience builds that connection, and keeps your brand front of mind –  so that when the time comes for them to enter the consideration phase, they’ve already sold themselves on you and your offer.

A good sense of humour proves you're "one of us"

Good marketing builds a human connection with an audience. It shows them that their world is your world. It demonstrates that we’re all in this together. And that’s important now, more than ever.

These aren’t just jokes – they’re proof that you understand our world, and what we’re going through right now.  It’s content like this that makes us welcome you into our lives, and – more importantly – our social feeds

Comedy gives you a safe way to take a stand

Two thirds of consumers will choose, switch to, avoid and even boycott brands based on where they stand on the issues that matter to us.

At the heart of every joke is a hidden truth – and you can use that hidden truth to make a point.

Whatever your brand’s tone, and values – there’s a way to turn any big story into a joke that takes a stand, and more chance of that stand gaining traction when you do.

Comedy helps you look at stale topics with fresh eyes

The same techniques you use to write jokes can also be used to identify hidden truths and commonalities between your brand and literally anything else.

It’s surprisingly easy to take something everyone is talking about – and make your brand a part of the conversation.  You’ll never be stuck for content ever again.

Jokes turn followers into influencers

When we – as a brand – first share the joke, we’re telling a story about ourselves. But when our audience is motivated to share that story – because they found it funny – it becomes a story that they’re telling the world on our behalf.

A good joke doesn’t just entertain and engage – it turns every single one of your followers into an influencer, who will happily push your agenda free of charge.

Sophia Antipas

Project Manager

“Adam and his team have a mine of ideas and work quickly to turn them into quality material. His approach was fresh, creative and playful when needed, while being completely in tune with the needs of my corporate client.”

Case Study: how we 8x'd the average brand's engagement

The Brief

Our client was Guild Living – an independent living community with a difference.

They’re all about empowering older people, not patronising them – and they wanted a social media presence that would reflect that.

They hired White Label Comedy to craft a series of one-liners they could use on social media as part of an ongoing campaign.

Measuring Success

The client’s page only had a modest following (1800 fans), but was already outpacing all cross-industry benchmarks in terms of Organic Engagement.

The average White Label Comedy post got 41.4% more Reactions, 8.8% more Comments, and 42.9% more Shares than the average in-house post. And – that’s just the average post. Some individual posts outperformed the in-house average on some metrics by over 600%.

But this client was already punching well above their weight. We wanted to extrapolate how much of an impact comedy content might have for the average brand on the platform – so we decided to compare our results to Statista’s most recent cross-industry engagement metrics

The Verdict

The average White Label Comedy post got 8x as much engagement as you’d expect for the average brand’s Page (according to Statista’s 2020 Q1 benchmarks).

Every brand, brand message and audience is different.
