Before this ad, I personally thought Old Spice was a thing of the past. The kind of presents given only at Christmas usually passed on from the year before. How to make the brand relevant again? Well, those clever people at Old Spice got an actor and former American football wide receiver Isaiah Mustafa to star in the reboot. The rhythm of the text is as fast-paced as the succession of quick shots and edits, to the point where the ad is brought to a fabulous conclusion.
The ad went viral and Sesame Street even parodied it (Smell Like A Monster), giving even more legs to the commercial.
